George Vișan is a researcher at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR), specialising in peace and war studies, international order, and the wider Black Sea region. He holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Bucharest.
Between 2022 and 2024, he served as Cabinet Adviser to the State Secretary for Strategic Affairs within the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His professional background includes experience in the private, associative, and public sectors.
He has published studies and analytical papers in Romania, the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Ukraine.
